One of LA’s first wine bistros when it debuted, Primitivo still serves up Mediterranean tapas with friendly, rustic charm. Chef Eddy Shin, who spent seven years with the famed Patina Group, transforms fresh and seasonal ingredients into delicious small plates which can be shared or enjoyed individually. The extensive wine list is presided over by General Manager Jimmy Bradley and Bartender Matthew Bradley. The brothers share a casual passion for wine that is as refreshing as it is contagious. If you catch Events Coordinator Eryn Thomas doing double duty as a server and are up for a dining adventure, let her design a complete wine and food experience for you. You won’t be disappointed.
The Scene: During the week a trendy, local, cast of regulars fills the bar for Happy Hour specials. Weekends bring enough of a crowd to fill the rear patio.
