Colorado Wine is the perfect neighborhood wine store. This is my go-to place when I need a bottle of wine to bring to a party, when I need a bottle of bubbles to bring in the New Year, or when I need a bottle of Riesling to enjoy on a warm summer night. Don’t even try comparing them to one of the larger wine retailers. That is like comparing your local hardware store to Home Depot. Colorado Wine has a well-thought out selection of wine, many labels of which you are
unlikely to find anywhere else.

The store, while modern and stocked with unique, classy wine, lacks the pretension that was so prevalent in the wine stores of the past. John and Jen, the owners, wanted to have a place where anyone and everyone felt comfortable coming in for wine. The staff are all both knowledgeable and approachable, and the vibe is very welcoming. Most  of the wines are priced at $25 or under.

Be sure to check out one of their tastings for the opportunity to try some unique wines as well as meet some fun people. The Friday night tastings are really hopping, while the Sunday afternoon tastings are more relaxed and low-key, just as a Sunday should be!
