Saturday May 29: The Glendale Police Department Target Impaired Drivers with Checkpoint
The Glendale Police Department will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. In an effort to reduce the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol involved crashes, DUI checkpoints are conducted to identify offenders and get them off the street, as well as educate the public on the dangers of impaired driving.
Saturday June 12: LAPD Hollywood/West Traffic DUI Checkpoint Alert
The purpose of the Sobriety/Driver’s License checkpoint is to reduce the number of traffic collisions involving intoxicated and unlicensed drivers through enforcement and public awareness. Funding for this checkpoint comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. We can all help make our streets safer.
